Stages of the Property Lifecycle Targeted by PropTechs

For property companies, there isn’t anything more important than asset management. That’s why the proptech sector is developing products for the asset management stage of a building’s life cycle more than any other. According to KPMG, 55% of proptech operations are targeting asset management: aiming to improve property management, retrofits and leasing.

As the proptech sector matures, new ways to improve other parts of a building’s life cycle will come to the forefront, but for now, asset management remains the focus because that’s where property companies need the most help. Properly managing an asset can make or break an investment, keeping a building up-to-date, operating efficiently and full or tenants is the best thing an owner can do to maximize their investment.

It’s important to remember that the proptech sector is in its infant stages. New uses are being pioneered and billions are being invested every year. In the next 12 months, 59% of development operations plan to invest in digital or proptech collaboration while 65% of asset management companies plan to do the same. Property companies around the globe see the benefits. Do you?
