Celebrating Persian New Year (Nowruz)

Learning about the varied cultures of Prescriptive Data’s diverse team is an enriching experience. Persian team members such as Ali and Anita were kind enough to share the tradition of Nowruz, known as Persian New Year. Celebrated on March 21, Nowruz marks the beginning of Farvardin on the spring equinox. We set up a traditional haft-sin table, embodying the traditional and spiritual values held dear in Persian culture. Iranian families go to great lengths when creating aesthetically pleasing haft-sin tables, as they are traditionally seen as a sign of good taste. A team lunch was provided from a nearby Persian Grill. The fish included in the traditional haft-sin became a permanent team member named Betta White.
