Salsa Taste Testing Experiments

Prescriptive Data’s VP of Innovation, Ricardo Cid, loves making homemade salsa and we love him for that because we get to be his eager test subjects. Just before Cinco De Mayo, Ricardo brought in his latest experiments for us to taste. Ricardo sees each salsa as a permutation between garlic, vegetables, and chiles. His unique recipes use flavors and chiles like serrano, habanero, jalapeño, tomatillo, ancho, pasilla, and more, each either dried, roasted, boiled, grilled or raw. Every blend was delicious whether with corn chips or pork rinds. We grabbed a few ice-cold Topo Chicos to cleanse the palette and beat the heat. The office was happy to have a snack and Ricardo was happy to collect some data on his experiments. Ricardo’s impromptu salsa taste testing session is the perfect example of PD’s culture. We each have our passions outside of work, and sharing them with each other has the power to turn a random Wednesday afternoon into a spontaneous fiesta.
